Saturday April 24th at 1pm: MARCH FOR OUR LIVES!

April 18, 2010 by westsideneighborhoodalliance

The West Side Neighborhood Alliance is teaming up with community groups throughout the West Side for the following critical mobilization.

SATURDAY, April 24th @ 1pm

St. Vincent’s may shut its doors within days!

This is the only hospital on the West Side from Battery Park City to 59th St.  If we lose the emergency room and other critical health services it provides our lives will be at risk.

The Department of Health is moving forward to establish an “urgent care” center to replace the hospital, but such a facility may NOT be able to treat patients who have a stroke, heart-attack, concussion, or other life-threatening conditions… our community demands full emergency services!

MARCH TO ST. VINCENT’S >> Meet at 25th Street and 9th Avenue at 1pm <<

March to St. Vincent’s for a rally & press conference in front of the hospital at 2pm.  Come hear current and former patients speak out!

For more information, contact Jesse at Fulton Youth of the Future at 917-734-5075/ or the West Side Neighborhood Alliance at 212-956-2573/
