Over the past few years, our community board has worked to promote a neighborhood-driven rezoning of 11th Avenue to prevent inappropriate high-rise development and the proliferation of nightclubs and budget hotels in the western part of Clinton/Hell’s Kitchen.
The Department of City Planning has responded and has agreed to work with our community to rezone 11th Avenue and the adjoining side streets. Now is your chance to participate.
Join us for the first public presentation of City Planning’s study and ideas for the rezoning of the 11th Avenue corridor. Demand a community-driven rezoning that will protect existing tenants and residents, produce new affordable housing and preserve the character of our community.

The presentation will be on Tuesday, December 18th at 6:00 pm at the Red Cross building: 520 West 49th Street, between 10th and 11th Avenues.
City Council Speaker Christine Quinn will join us to hear the City Planning presentation and weigh in…will you?
